I am Dr Haleema sadia Mian

I completed my PhD in Education with focus on "Female Pakistani students' identities in transition to UK higher education" from University of Manchester, UK in 2020. I conducted my PhD research with longitudinal qualitative study, based on socio-cultural theoretical framework, using visual (photo , timeline, concept mapping) elicitation techniques and narrative methodology.

I developed my research and analytical skills in the six MSc Education modules at the University of Manchester. I secured more than 60 % marks in all the six modules including quantitative data generation, qualitative data generation, critical reading and writing, planning of research, qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.

I have more than 20 years of professional experience in teaching study skills, educational research methods, theories of teaching and learning, project management and in academic supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students at various academic institutions of the UK and abroad.
